Constant provocation of Albanian terrorists

Politika, (abridged) - Albanian terrorists continue with provocation in the area of Prizren region causing uneasiness among the people in this area. Encouraged by open backup of international monitors and diplomats, terrorists are very active in the area of Malisevo and Suva Reka municipality. Very often large groups of armed Albanians try to cross the border and enter Yugoslavia. So far, they were successfully stopped and a couple of days ago eight terrorists were killed.

When Orahovac had been attacked, about 50 civilians had been abducted from the town and nearby villages. Nothing has been known about their destiny nor there have been any news about Radio Pristina reporter Djuro Slavuj and driver Ranko Perenic.

Serbs in Suva reka are also embittered because the destiny of 12 abducted Serbs from this area has not been resolved yet. Among them is 13-year old boy Srecko Blagojevic, abducted about two months ago together with his uncle Boban Matic. Their relatives expected the international representatives to help them in their release as they enabled release of 12 Albanian minors who, being KLA members, had been arrested in the attack on police with arms in their hands. But Srecko Blagojevic is a Serb, so the international humanitarian workers have not been much interested in his destiny. Probably Albanian minor Saban is worth more than Serbian minor Srecko!

One of the tasks of the international verifiers was to enable free movement through the area to all citizens in Kosmet. However, these areas are now very unsafe after the police pulled back. Only those who have to go to either work or to hospital dare to pass through these insecure areas.
