Luxembourg, February 13 - The European Volleyball Federation (CEV) decided in Luxembourg that the final tournament of the 1998/99 Volleyball Cup Winner's Cup for men would take place in Belgrade on 13th and 14th March. The only counter-candidate was the French city of Cannes.

The organizer of the tournament will be the team of Belgrade Red Star. The participants of this Final-Four will probably be Red Star and Russian team Izumrud from the Group B, whereas the other two teams from the Group A will be either Czech Jihostroj, Italian Alpitour with Yugoslav national team player Nikola Grbic or French As Cannes.

· Perhaps everybody were surprised by this decision, Belgrade instead of Cannes. Financial conditions did not make the decision, the sport moment decided. Two years of playing in the world League proved that we have no competition when the organization of matches is in question. Now we guarantee TV broadcasting, excellent hospitality, taraflex ground layer, surely full hall, said Red Star director Aleksandar Boricic.
